These terms apply to every order of a service (“THE List” tasks) placed on thegoldenlibrary.com.
1. Who we are
THE Golden Library, operated by Daan De Graeve
Vaartstraat 29 bus 18, 1000 Brussel, Belgium
Email: th*************@***il.com
Enterprise number (KBO/BCE): none at this time
VAT: Not VAT registered
2. The services
THE Golden Library offers digital services under the name “THE List”:
- THE List — Preset task (€25.00): you choose a task from THE LIST STANDARD; THE Librarian completes it and logs it on THE List calendar.
- THE List — Custom task (€75.00): you write your own task brief; THE Librarian completes it and logs it on THE List calendar.
The main characteristics of each service are described on its product page. Tasks are carried out with reasonable care and skill. We may refuse a custom task brief that is unlawful, unsafe, or contrary to good morals; in that case you are refunded in full.
3. Prices
Prices are in euro (EUR). The prices shown are final prices. No VAT is charged because the operator is not VAT registered. There are no delivery costs because the services are digital. Payment fees, if any, are shown before you confirm your order.
4. Ordering
- Choose a service and add it to your cart.
- At checkout, enter your details and, for a custom task, your full task brief in the order notes (for a preset task, the name of the task).
- Read these terms and the Privacy Policy and confirm the order by clicking the order button (“Place order” / “Order with obligation to pay”).
The contract is concluded when you receive our order confirmation by email. We keep a copy of the order; you can view it in your account.
5. Payment
Payment is made at checkout via the payment methods shown (card payments processed by Stripe through WooPayments, or PayPal). We do not store your full card details.
6. Performance and delivery
We start the task after payment and, where you request it, before the end of the withdrawal period (see section 7). We aim to complete the task within 7 days of payment, unless agreed otherwise, and log it on THE List calendar on thegoldenlibrary.com. If we cannot complete the task within that time, we will tell you and you may cancel for a full refund.
7. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the contract is concluded.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (THE Golden Library, Vaartstraat 29 bus 18, 1000 Brussel, Belgium, th*************@***il.com) of your decision by a clear statement (e.g. an email). You can use the withdrawal function on our website (“Withdraw from contract here“) or the model withdrawal form below, but you are not obliged to. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient that you send your withdrawal before the period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal: if you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of the day we are informed of your decision. We use the same means of payment you used, unless you expressly agreed otherwise; you will not incur any fees for the reimbursement.
Services started during the withdrawal period: if you asked us to start the service during the withdrawal period, you must pay an amount proportionate to what has been performed until you told us you were withdrawing, compared with the full service.
Loss of the right of withdrawal: you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, if performance started with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal once we have fully performed the contract (Article VI.53, 1° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law). We ask for this consent and acknowledgement at checkout: before you can place your order, you tick a checkbox confirming that you expressly request us to start the service during the withdrawal period and that you acknowledge you will lose your right of withdrawal once we have fully performed the service.
